In Central Europe, the clinical application of a mixture of ozone and oxygen gas in the treatment of chronic viral infections, ischemia and cancer was initiated in Germany and Austria in the early 1950s. A main effect of ozone gas application is the induction and release of several cytokines, including IFN-alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12, TNF-alpha, GMCSF and TGF-beta1 and endorphins. Thus, it is strongly suggested, that ozone gas has first of all immune modulating effects, and that it’s possible anti-tumour and anti-viral activities can be explained in this way.
In addition, ozone gas application has been associated with improved wound healing (ulcus crusis and decubitus) and blood perfusion, and with prevention and improvement of degeneration of the macula of the retina in the elderly. The routine procedure is to take 50 to 300 ml peripheral blood from the patient and, in vitro; to expose the whole blood to a determined abounds of ozone gas. Within minutes the blood is re-infused into the patient. Own Blood Therapy is tolerated very well and usually patients document feelings of well-being and sometimes euphoria right after the treatment. More |

More |

Haematogenous Oxidation Therapy (HOT)
according to Dr. med. F. Wehrli
Haematogenous Oxidation Therapy (HOT) or Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI) is a non-toxic, i.e., harmless, natural method of therapy that leads to substantial improvement in the fluid characteristics of the blood, in cell respiration, and in absorption of oxygen in sections of tissue with poor circulation. It is a therapy of stimulation and impetus that sets important biochemical processes in motion, while also making both molecular oxygen and energetic potential available, in chronically ill and damaged tissue. Through HOT/UBI, medication use can often be reduced. More |
